POSITION 1: Estimator/Project Manager:
This person needs to be a strong team leader for the facility. Also, he/she must be able to adapt and follow senior management’s long term vision.

ESTIMATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Clearly and accurately define labor hours, material costs and outside service costs for each project quoted.
2. Regularly discuss all prospective and on going quotes and bids with management.
3. Create detailed quotes and proposals defining all aspects of the work in question including price, exceptions & clarifications, FOB Point, Etc.
4. Review with management all estimates and quotes which exceed $(tbd)___________.
5. Retain all estimates in Bid File Cabinet.
6. Maximize profitability via value engineering suggestions to customers and understanding market opportunities.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clearly detail all information on work orders required to manufacture the customers order to the agreed upon specifications and quote. Information to be included are Man Hours, Material Buyouts (i.e. description, vendor, delivery date), Delivery Date, and any special instructions.
2. Purchase or assist in purchase of all items needed for job.
3. Clearly communicate with production the Plan of Manufacturing Sequence which was envisioned at the time of estimating.
4. Maintain the Office Job File for the particular project such as work order, copies of purchase orders, drawings, estimate, obsolete drawings, written communications with customer and verbal communications records.
5. Act as sole contact person for CSM while project is on going.
6. Convey to Management any production or quality problems.
7. Convey to Management any substantial change in the clients credit worthiness or potential back charges.
8. Convey to Production and Accounting any change orders which occur during the project, and convey to customer in a timely fashion any appropriate adjustments which might be needed in pricing.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
Good working knowledge of AutoCad and CAM

Supervision Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all facility operations, including shop and office.

 

POSITION 2: CNC PROGRAMMER/OPERATOR

This person needs to be a team player and rock star craftsman.  Be able to take directions well, work hard and have fun with a fantastic team of fellow fabricators.

EDUCATION: Position requires a 1 yr cert from college or trade school with on the job training

CREDENTIALS: (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) Yes, all good. Most importantly, we want you to be able to program, CNC, and just make a job happen. (Can you make magic happen?) Strong initiative is required. Be flexible in an ever changing environment. Respect management’s leadership, and most importantly, be a team player.

EXPERIENCE: Absolutely. Ideally we would prefer 3 yrs experience of programming conversions of CAD to CAM. You really need working knowledge of various programming and CNC operations. Be able to come in, review our set-up and be able to start cutting out metal. (Rockstars, please apply.)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• CNC Production Planning
• CNC Production Schedule
• Convert CAD drawings to CAM environment
• Convert CAM info into machine language
• Facilitate production and perform machine setups
• Work closely with all team members to provide the best customer service and product
• Be able to move around machinery and to lift or move 100lbs.

 

POSITION 3: MIG/TIG WELDER

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Welder Trade Certification, Pressure Welding Certification, Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Manufacturing
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
